Can I create my own theme or do I have to pick one of yours?
We have developed several options that have been popular over the years; however, if you have another theme in mind, let us know. We are happy to see what we can do.
How many people can I have at my event?
The Carriage House at Smith-Gilbert Gardens accommodates 20 – 30 guests comfortably for a party and special activity in the same room. This number may vary at other locations.
Can I bring children 3 years old and under?
Yes, young children are welcome, however, they must you must provide adult supervision for them at all times. We cannot be responsible for managing your guests. We ask that you inform us in advance of the number and ages of children during planning so that we can be sure to accommodate their needs.
Can I bring my own food or do you provide it?
Outside food is welcome and we encourage you to bring food of your choice to the event. We provide lemonade. If you prefer us to provide food, we can have your event catered for an additional charge.
How early can we come to set up food?
You may arrive as early as 45 minutes before the start of your event.
Do you provide goody bags for parties?
No. We do not provide goody bags as part of our events, but we are happy to provide them with proper notice for an additional charge. Price varies on type of event.
Is there a charge if my event goes over the scheduled time?
Yes. Venues schedule us for a certain amount of time for events, and we respect that. We work diligently to remain on schedule; however, should an event seem like it will run later, we will inform you of the time frame so you can decide if you would like to pay the over time fee or modify the activities so the event can end as scheduled.
How early should I schedule my event?
We recommend 4 to 6 weeks in advance.
If I cancel my event, will I lose my deposit?
We know that things happen, so if you need to cancel, please refer to the cancellation policy for deadlines and fees.
